Lakes Trail Open event at Milton on 7-29-06. Weather was near perfect as it started out warm and turned to hot and muggy. Great day to be out on the water, but not fishing. The fishing was tough as approx 1/2 the field blanked and the rest either had 1 or 2 fish. Milton has a 15" size limit that makes it a bit tougher too. 1 team managed 3 keeper smallies but they were all skinny. Winning patterns included carolina rigging deeper structure and docks early in am.
There was a total of 36 bass weighed for a total weight of 68.04lb. An average size of 1.89lb. The event paid 8 places and big bass. Here is the top 3 and big bass:
